This super rare old rad dude has been in storage for well over a decade at least. Colors still pop, no visible damage to the top or base, edges are fully intact, its in really great shape. I do also have the Freestyle bindings as well, cannot say if these were original or not but time has not treated them quite as well as the board. You can see multiple snap/breaks on the ratchet straps, all original parts are there. The original screws and washers are included as well but for the most part the bindings are for parts/repair/extra. This board is the main event. Own a piece of history. Rare blue Kick, the most popular ones were orange, then green. Topsheet in good condition, with no nicks, and only a couple of light scratches. Edges in excellent condition: healthy, shiny and very sharp. Silky-smooth base, with a few professionally repaired scratches. The Kick was Damian Sanders pro model on Avalanche, designed by his brother Chris. Damian left his mark on snowboarding both, on and off the hill. Dont be fooled by the neon clothes, headbands and pink hard boots; he was a charger. Avalanche was started by Chris Sanders (Damians brother) in 1982. This board had more media coverage than any other models they produced, and Damian was the reason for it. From ballsy cliffs to laid out backflips to sending it in the pipehe could do it all, with style. If you havent seen the movie Snowboarders in Exile by Fall Line Films (1990), do yourself a favor. The footage captured the impact Damian made, far better than anything we could possibly put into words. Lib Tech Skunk Ape 165 cm Wide Men’s Snowboard all Mountain Freestyle. Fits Boot size (US). Lib Tech Skunk Ape HP. Is one of the few boards out there made specifically for bigger people with wide feet. This is a true wide board that works for riders 12 and up but the Ultra Wide (UW) is one of the best all-mountain options for guys with bigger feet. Well one of the only options. On the medium side of medium stiff. Stephen couldnt butter the Skunk Ape HP as well as he thought he would and he loves to butter. It does have a very poppy fast return when its flexed in the shop and off the snow. Holds an edge super well and grips well in hard to icy snow. It can grab pretty hard in softer snow. Some can get used to it and some cant. For the right boot size, it is med/fast and snaps into a turn pretty quick. The extra edge hold grips well and allows the Lib-Tech Skunk Ape to carve harder in all conditions but it is not going to be a powerful dynamic carver like a C3 board is. Still, its pretty good for hybrid rocker. Powder : The set back on sidecut is the same but the change to the 2019 and 2020 shape seems to have a little more set back on board and directional float. Speed : Pretty stable and fast for a hybrid rocker board. The base has good glide to it and keeps its speed. It doesnt have super high highs but the lows arent that low either. Especially if you dont wax it. Uneven Terrain : A board that poppy doesnt have as much dampness as some but it isnt that bad and can handle a crowded resort all day pretty well. Switch : Less as good as the older model but still very doable. Jumps : There is really good pop to it and its a good choice for air on the mountain as well as in the park. Jibbing : Not a really easy jibber unless there is a lot of weight on your frame. Pipe : Great big footed pipe board. Nice momentum from wall to wall, strong grip and somewhat forgiving.
