This seldom seen vintage Hamilton day-date has a matte black “T SWISS MADE T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. This reference never came with a bezel. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL – WATERRESISTANT” with “825011 -3″ stamped in the center. The crystal should be replaced as it shows scratching, warping and chipping around the edges. While I normally show pictures of the movement of watches that I put up for sale the case back on this one is torqued too tight for me to remove. A skilled watchmaker will have no problems doing so. The automatic movement with quickset day and date function keeps accurate time and both the day and date wheels roll over as they should. The quickset date function works by pulling out the crown to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The quickset day function works in precisely the same manner except the crown is turned counterclockwise. After winding the Hamilton signed, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given the movement’s unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures 11 mm. Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time, given its unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. While the movement runs strong and keeps accurate time, the day and date wheels do not roll over. Given this and considering that the movement shows no visible signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This seldom seen vintage Elgin day-date diver watch has a silvery champagne satin “T Swiss Made T” signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition, showing light markings that are difficult to see and can only be seen from certain angles. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching golden buttermilk hue. The hands show signs of oxidation which in my humble opinion adds oodles of character and the vibrant orange seconds hand gives this watch a wonderful energy. The silver bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with a bit of tension , presents as pristine. The all stainless steel case, which appears to have retained its original brushed satin finish, is in excellent condition showing minor wear and no signs of oxidation. The crystal shows scratching. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss “ELGIN” stamped FHF 909 automatic movement is exceptionally clean, runs strong and keeps accurate time. However, neither the day nor date wheels roll over. After winding the original non-screwdown “E” stamped crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Given that the day and date wheels do not roll over and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. Very Rare Vintage USA Made 1991 Cannondale SM-1000 with all Campagnolo Components. Frame size 20″ seat tube, 23″ top tube. Supposedly less than 20 ever made. A true Collectors Item. Includes rare Campagnolo mountain bike components. Not to over that beefy Pepperoni fork and custom built frame. Put a rack on it if you want. All Campy even the cables except the Ritchey headset. Including even the Seatpost QR, seat post, Canti brake ring.. A mix of Euclid, Centuar and perhaps other model Campy components. The brake levers are amazing! So are the Campy 8speed thumb shifters. Don’t forget those pedals with Campagnolo toe clips. Also Check out that Cinelli XM Mountain Stem that looks like an aluminum I beam. Get those Cinelli bars way up there with this mean piece of aluminum! The wheels spin true and smooth. Everything functions as it should. No dents, ridden with care. Includes an extra tire, and an awesome array of NOS Campy cassette rings still in the box and a Cannondale Jersey. Ride this bike, Show this bike, or Use it just for the components and build up that Vintage Ritchey, Fat Chance, Potts, Cunningham, Rock Lobster, Ibis, Bontrager, Mountain Goat… The bike industry is just starting to get smart again, these guys already had it figured out years before. This vintage 1974 Caravelle has a matte black dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visibly noticeable scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow on the hands only after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a golden buttermilk hue. The vibrant orange seconds hand complements the dial and patina beautifully. The bezel, which rotates a bit stiffly bidirectionally, is in excellent condition as is the jet black insert. The heavy duty all stainless steel case shows minor wear with the exception of a ding on the chamfer above the bottom right lug. The case shows no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “CARAVELLE SHOCK RESISTANT WATER-RESISTANT TO 666 FEET STAINLESS STEEL ANTI MAGNETIC” with “N 4″ stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped “3286-DP” followed by “CARAVELLE DIV, “B. The crystal shows scratching and some dust/debris on its underbelly. The 17 jewels unadjusted Japan “II DP” and “N 4″ stamped manual wind movement is clean, runs strong and keeps accurate time. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown “C” signed crown 45 full revolutions (phenomenal for a manual wind) the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Given that this watch is 45 years old and the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm.
