The movement, which received a complete overhaul in August 2020, keeps accurate time over an approximate 41 hour power reserve period. While no service paperwork will be provided my watchmaker’s service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. This vintage Scubapro 500 has matte black “TSWISS MADET” signed dial that is in pristine condition. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal, not the dial. The lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. The fat font black bezel, which ratchets counterclockwise, presents nicely with the toasted butterscotch inverted triangle lume complementing the patina on the dial and hands beautifully. The massive all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “INCABLOC STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE 67199 SUPER-WATERRESISTANT” with “SCUBAPRO WORLDWIDE” followed by “4812” stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped “6420” followed by “SCUBAPRO” and SWISS MADE. The original crystal shows scratching and UV film deterioration. In my humble opinion the imperfections aren’t nearly as pronounced in person. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss “SCUBAPRO” signed ETA 2784 automatic movement with quickset date function is. Clean and received a complete overhaul in August 2020. After recently winding the original. 39 full revolutions the movement kept accurate time over an approximate 41 hour power reserve period. The crown unscrews and screws back down perfectly as it should and it winds smoothly. This watch measures approximately 41 mm excluding the crown, approximately 44 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. The original hacking movement was given a complete overhaul in April 2021. This seldom seen vintage Yema Superman has a matte black dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visibly noticeable scratching, chipping or defects. The lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. In my humble opinion the dial and patina combination couldn’t be more pleasing. The stainless steel bezel with worn black insert smoothly ratchets counterclockwise and presents nicely with the inverted triangle lume complementing the patina nicely. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “ALL STAINLESS STEEL WATERRESISTANT 300M QUARTZ” with “T9 001 6″ stamped in the center. The crystal shows very light scratching which is visually imperceptible in person. The original SHIOJIRI, Ltd stamped 3 jewels unadjusted Y112A quartz movement with quickset date function and hacking feature is exceptionally clean, runs strong and received a complete overhaul in April 2021. No paperwork will be provided. The quickset date function works flawlessly by unscrewing the crown, pulling it out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The screwdown crown unscrews and screws back down perfectly as it should. Not all vintage Yema Superman’s came with a bezel lock. This watch measures approximately 38 mm excluding the crown, approximately 43 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm. This watch comes on a period correct one keeper 19 mm curved lug ends “GERMANY” stamped band with “STAINLESS STEEL” stamped straight edge buckle that is in near NOS, fully pliable condition. This uber rare vintage 1970’s Impec diver has a glossy black dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visible scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Please note that over the past several decades significant dust/debris has gotten between the crystal and crystal ring, settling on the underbelly of the crystal and to a lesser degree onto the dial. While the lume on the dial markers has aged to a light pistachio hue and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, the lume on the hands has developed a lovely rich golden butterscotch color that emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light. This subtle contrast in patina is beautiful, in my humble opinion. The faded black fat font countdown bezel, which rotates stiffly bidirectionally, looks great. The heavy duty all stainless steel case is in wonderful condition showing minor wear and is free of any noticeable dents or dings. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “ALL STAINLESS – STEEL – ANTIMAGNETIC” with “100%” followed by “WATERPROOF TESTED, “”20 ATMOSPHERES” and “42450” stamped in the center. While the integrity of the crystal appears to be intact it should be replaced as it is heavily scratched. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The crown winds a bit stiffly. Although the movement runs strong and keeps near perfect time, given its vintage nature and unknown service history (there is one visible watchmaker service marking on the inside of the case back), a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 38 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 18.75 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11.5 mm. This watch comes on a high quality NOS black NATO strap. Although this watch currently runs strong and keeps near perfect time, given that it is over 40 years old and considering that the movement appears to have only been serviced once in its lifetime, a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. This seldom seen vintage Hamilton day-date has a matte black “T SWISS MADE T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. This reference never came with a bezel. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL – WATERRESISTANT” with “825011 -3″ stamped in the center. The crystal should be replaced as it shows scratching, warping and chipping around the edges. While I normally show pictures of the movement of watches that I put up for sale the case back on this one is torqued too tight for me to remove. A skilled watchmaker will have no problems doing so. The automatic movement with quickset day and date function keeps accurate time and both the day and date wheels roll over as they should. The quickset date function works by pulling out the crown to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The quickset day function works in precisely the same manner except the crown is turned counterclockwise. After winding the Hamilton signed, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given the movement’s unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures 11 mm. Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time, given its unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. The original tritium, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a warm buttermilk hue. The brushed all stainless steel bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, is beautiful. The all stainless steel case is in wonderful condition showing negligible wear and very minor signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “WATERRESISTANT INCABLOC AUTOMATIC ALL STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE” with “TESTED TO 600 FEET” stamped in the center. The crystal shows light scratching. According to my watchmaker the case back on this watch had never been previously removed and the original sticker remains intact. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The crown winds nicely with a bit of friction and it screws down perfectly. Although the movement runs strong and keeps accurate time considering that it has never been serviced (the case back had never been removed prior to my watchmaker doing so) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 38 mm excluding the crown, approximately 42 mm including the crown and approximately 19.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 11 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 13.5 mm. Although the movement currently runs strong and keeps accurate time considering that it has never been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.
