This ski is in fair condition, has wear from normal use, scratches, a couple small chips and multiple minor chips to the topsheet, with some repaired scratches to the bases. One ski is missing its tip guard (shown in photo #6 and photo #7) this does not effect the performance of this ski. A great ski for a great deal! This ski of course takes the place of last year’s FX84, but now comes in various packages to meet more skiers’ needs. Simply put the FX85 is a full wood core with no metal, while the HP version features 2 sheets of 0.5mm titanal. Other than offering metal and non-metal versions, the all new FX series skis now features tail rocker. This will create a much easier exit to the turn than the FX models of old. These skis have a new Kadura topsheet which is more resistant to scratching. Hollowtech 2.0 is a bigger Hollowtech oval at the tip for even greater weight reduction. If you enjoyed the old model certainly stick to the HP, but if you found the old FX to be a lot of work or plan to tour a lot on the ski, the FX85 is sure not to disappoint.
