This seldom seen vintage Silvana has an orange “T SWISS MADE T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a momentary glow before quickly dissipating, has aged to an orange hue. While under high magnification the lume on the hour hand appears to be a slight shade lighter than the patina on the minute hand and dial, in person this subtle difference is nearly visually imperceptible. The black bezel, which rotates smoothly bidirectionally, presents as near pristine with the lume pip complementing the patina on the dial and hands perfectly. The all stainless steel case, which appears to have retained its original brushed satin finish to the top of the mid-case and sharp chamfers, is in excellent condition showing minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “WATERPROOF 20 ATU SWISS MADE INCABLOC ANTIMAGNETIC STAINLESS STEEL” with “10824” stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped 2352196. The crystal looks great. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded, screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The crown winds beautifully. Given that this watch is more than 45 years old and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. Although the movement currently runs strong and keeps accurate time given its vintage nature and considering that it has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This seldom seen Baume & Mercier has a matte black “T-SWISS MADE-T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Please note that there is some dust/debris on the underbelly of the crystal and to a lesser degree the dial. The tritium, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow on the dial only after being exposed to bright light, has aged nicely. The black bezel, which rotates very stiffly, presents beautifully. The all stainless steel case is in excellent condition showing minor wear and very light signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC SWISS MADE SKIN DIVER 12 ATMOSPHERES WATERPROOF INCABLOC” with some difficult to read number stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped “MODELE” followed by MLB. The crystal shows light crazing and scratching as well as some dust/debris on its underbelly. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then repeatedly moving the hour hand between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 43 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given that this watch is more than 45 years old and considering that the movement appears to have been last serviced in 1986 (the lone etching “3-29-86 ABE” on the inside of the case back is likely a watchmaker service marking) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 37.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm. Given the vintage nature of this watch and considering that the movement appears to have been last serviced more than 33 years ago a complete overhaul is recommended. While the movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 43 hour power reserve period and the hacking feature works perfectly as it should, the crown is a bit difficult to pull out and in my humble opinion winds tightly. It should be wound slowly and methodically. Given this and considering the movement’s unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. This vintage Glycine Airman has a matte black “-T-SWISS-T-” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal. The lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm golden buttermilk hue. The stainless steel bezel, which looks great and rotates smoothly bidirectionally when unlocked, shows some enamel paint loss. To unlock the bezel the lower crown needs to be unscrewed. To lock the bezel the lower crown simply needs to be screwed back down. The all stainless steel case shows moderate wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC WATERPROOF INCABLOC SWISS” with PAT. 314050″ followed by “869426. Over time these stampings have worn down and appear faint. The crystal shows scratching and warping around the edges which can be clearly seen in pictures 8 and 9. In person the crystal presents nicely. While I normally show movement pictures I don’t have the appropriate tool to remove the case back on this one. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. The hacking feature works perfectly as it should by pulling out the crown and seeing the seconds hand being stopped by a small. 06 mm steel wire that pops up between the “2” and “4” of the 24. After winding the sharply threaded, correct cross-hatched crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 43 hours. The crown is a bit difficult to pull out and in my humble opinion winds tightly. This exceedingly rare and unique vintage Mathey-Tissot Mergulhador UHF dive watch is spectacular and appears untouched. The orange rust satin “Swiss Made” signed dial, the only one I’ve ever seen, is exceptional and in perfect condition, free of any scratches, tool marks or defects. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which no longer emits a glow after being exposed to bright light, is fully intact and has aged to a golden butterscotch hue. The vibrant orange seconds hand gives the watch a wonderful energy. The bezel rotates bi-directionally and its in great condition. The all stainless steel case appears unpolished, showing light signs of use. There are no visible signs of oxidation/rust to the case and its free of any noticeable dents or dings. The outer edge of the case back, which shows the most wear on the case, is engraved “WATERRESISTANT INCABLOC STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE” with “MATHEY-TISSOT, “”AUTOMATIC, “”20 ATMOS” and “1635” engraved in the center. The crystal is in good shape with the exception of some gouging around the date window, although its integrity is intact. The 17 jewels ETA 2784 movement with quickset date function is beautiful and appears to be untouched (there are no watchmaker markings on the inside of the case back), keeping near perfect time with the date wheel rolling over as it should. After recently winding the crown 27 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. It should be noted that the sharply threaded, non-dented crown is tight and a bit more difficult to wind than I would prefer, although I realize some may appreciate this feel. Nevertheless it should be mentioned. Despite keeping near perfect time and working as it should, considering that this watch is roughly 40 years old and likely having never been serviced before, a complete overhaul is suggested. This watch measures approximately 38 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 19.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 12 mm. As mentioned above, considering that this watch has likely never been serviced and given its vintage nature, a service is recommended. Runs strong with both the day and date wheels rolling over as they should occasionally and inconsistently the movement slows by several minutes in the middle of the night, likely leading up to the day and date wheels rolling over. When this happens I’ll reset the time in the morning and it’ll resume keeping accurate time. Given that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This vintage Chronosport S. Day-date has a matte black “T-SWISS MADE-T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. The bezel, which ratchets counterclockwise, has lots of character and presents beautifully. The coated all stainless steel case shows minor wear with some loss of coating. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “ALL STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE 30 ATM/1000 FEET 186 682″ with “3218” stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped “BREVET + 503305″ followed by M. SA, SWITZERLAND, CHRONOSPORT, INC. The crystal shows light scratching that is nearly visually imperceptible in person. The 1 jewel unadjusted Swiss “CHRONOSPORT” stamped ETA 555.125 quartz controlled hacking movement with quickset day and date functions runs strong and keeps accurate time. However, occasionally and inconsistently the movement slows by several minutes in the middle of the night, likely leading up to the day and date wheels rolling over. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling out the crown to the first position and turning it clockwise. The quickset day function works in the precisely the same manner with the exception of the crown being turned counterclockwise. The screwdown crown, which shows wear, unscrews and screws back down without issue. Given the mentioned issue and considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 41 mm excluding the crown, approximately 45 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. The crystal adds no measurable thickness. This watch comes on what I believe to be the original canvas strap, which is in great condition. I have an old Chronosport brochure that shows the S. Being offered on either a bracelet or canvas strap (which looks identical to this one). While the movement runs strong it does run slow, losing a little more than 1.5 hours by the end of the approximate 31 hour power reserve period. Given this and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This classy vintage Paul Peugeot is absolutely stunning and it appears to be in untouched condition. The glossy black dial is pristine, free of any visible scratching, tool marks or defects. The original tritium on the dial has aged to a deep golden butterscotch hue while the original tritium on the hands has developed a slightly lighter patina. This subtle difference in patina makes for a truly beautiful contrast. The metal on the hands has corroded slightly over the past several decades, adding character and charm to the watch. The tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact, emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light. The faded black countdown bezel, which smoothly rotates bidirectionally, is in great shape and in certain lighting conditions appears to be dark chocolate brown in color. The all stainless steel case, which still retains its original satin finish, shows virtually no signs of use and is free of any dents or dings. The outer edge of the case back is engraved “SHOCKRESISTANT ANTIMAGNETIC ALL STAINLESS STEEL” with “TESTED TO A DEPTH OF 600 FEET 100% WATERPROOF AND CONDENSATION PROOF” engraved along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is engraved CONDE CO. ” followed by “CASE MADE IN HONGKONG. ” Additionally the case is engraved “HONGKONG between the lugs at 12 o’clock. The crystal has minor scratches that can likely be polished out with Polywatch and or a light polishing. The 17 jewels Standard Time (ST) 92 manual wind movement is pristine and it appears to be untouched. After recently winding the crown 15 full revolutions the watch had a healthy power reserve of approximately 31 hours. The sharply threaded, non-dented original crown winds smoothly. Please note that at the end of the approximate 31 hour power reserve the watch was running approximately 1.5 hours slow. Considering the vintage nature of this watch, that it is running slow and because it has likely never been serviced (there are no watchmaker service markings on the movement or on the inside of the case back) a complete overhaul is suggested. This watch measures approximately 37.5 mm excluding the crown, approximately 40.5 mm including the crown and approximately 17.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 12.5 mm. While the movement runs strong it does run about 5.5 hours fast over its approximate 42 hour power reserve period. Given this and considering that the movement shows no clear sign of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This seldom seen vintage Technos Sky Light has a black “SWISS” only signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged beautifully. This reference came with a fixed bezel. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped ANTIMAGNETIC WATER PROOF AUTOMATIC. While I’m not certain there may have been an inlay in the center of the case back that is now missing. The inside of the case back is stamped “TECHNOS” followed by “STAINLESS STEEL” and 2632. ” Between the lugs at 6 o’clock is the stamping “S2F0772. The crystal should be replaced as it shows deep scratching. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling the crown out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the Technos signed, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement was running about 5.5 hours fast by the end of its approximate 42 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. Given that the movement runs fast and considering that it shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced (there are no watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38 mm including the crown and approximately 18.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm. The all stainless steel Technos band looks great. I imagine that it will comfortably accommodate up to a 7 inch wrist. Given that the movement runs fast and considering that it appears to have never been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. This Wittnauer Geneve 4000 has a matte black “T SWISS T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume, which remains fully intact and no longer emits a glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to an orange hue. The original stainless steel bezel, which does not rotate likely due to gunk buildup underneath , looks good. The all stainless steel case shows wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outside of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL” with “WITTNAUER WATCH CO INC, “”SWISS” and “C 11 KS – 1 4000″ stamped on the inside of the case back. The crystal should be replaced. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss WITTNAUER WATCH Co. The quickset date function works flawlessly by repeatedly pressing firmly in on the crown until the desired date has been reached. An alternate quickset date function can be utilized by manually rolling over a new date and then repeatedly moving the hour hand between the 20 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown replacement crown 38 full revolutions (impressive for a manual wind) the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given that this watch is more than 45 years and considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 19.5 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10 mm. This vintage 1970’s Le Gran Superautomatic diver has a pristine glossy black “T SWISS T” signed dial that is free of any visibly noticeable scratching, tool marks or defects. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. The bezel, which smoothly rotates bidirectionally, looks great. The heavy duty all stainless steel case shows minor wear and is free of any significant dents or dings. The case back is stamped “ALL STAINLESS STEEL – SWISS MADE – SHOCKRESISTANT – WATERRESISTANT – TESTED 333 FEET – 10 ATMOS” with “LEGRAN CO” stamped on the inside of the case back. The crystal shows light scratching. Please note that over the past several decades some dust/debris has gotten between the crystal and crystal ring, settling on the underbelly of the crystal and to a lesser degree the dial. A skilled watchmaker will be able to quickly and easily remove this dust/debris. The quickset date function works flawlessly by either pushing in on the crown or by rolling over a new date and then repeatedly moving the hour hand between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown crown 30 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Although this watch runs strong and keeps near perfect time, given its vintage nature and unknown service history (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or movement), a complete overhaul is recommended to keep it running strong. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs.
