Some spots have ripped a little bit due to age of wrapping. The wrapping is in bad shape but I left it on just to prove its brand new. There was only 150 of these boards made for the 2011 season. This is #89 84? Kinda hard to tell as shown in pictures. I havent found another board like this anywhere. Being rare enough in 2011, this board is even harder to come by now. Weekend Snowboards was a short lived snowboard manufacturing company that focused on making high end limited edition snowboards in extremely small quantities. Each season they only made a handful of each size they offered. This only lasted a few seasons so only a few hundred were ever in existence; only a handful of these boards out there today. Weekend was launched by Marc Carter and Heikki Sorsa (formerly Burton), soon joined by Eddie Wall (formerly Forum). A small American brand core, which has no ambition to become the world leader, but simply to make good boards. The boards are numbered and handmade in Austria. The board of Heikki Sorsa is a powerful pro-model, with a big pop and a good grip. It has a very good behavior on track and remains stable at high speed. Just like Heikki Sorsa (professional snowboarder), this board can ride and handle most anything. Perfect for all mountain cruising or backcountry powder surgery. Heikki liked last seasons Lodge Series so much that he wanted it to be his pro-model for this season, so we didnt change a thing. Well, thats not true, we changed the graphics. Each size of Heikkis series is a fully playable board game. Thats right, take the bindings off (or dont put any on), rustle up friends, a couple of dice and some random objects for you to play with and get started on heck of a good time. Over here at Weekend, we believe that snowboards should be coveted and not commodities. While other brands limited editions may be runs in the thousands, we limit our production to 150 boards per size, per season. For 2011 the design direction of our boards was for all of our them to be fully playable board games. Each size has unique gameplay and design using many influences from retro games to childrens movies. Let’s just say we spend a lot of time nerding out on things like this.
