While the movement runs strong it does run about 5.5 hours fast over its approximate 42 hour power reserve period. This seldom seen vintage Technos Sky Light has a black “SWISS” only signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged beautifully. This reference came with a fixed bezel. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped ANTIMAGNETIC WATER PROOF AUTOMATIC. While I’m not certain there may have been an inlay in the center of the case back that is now missing. The inside of the case back is stamped “TECHNOS” followed by “STAINLESS STEEL” and 2632. ” Between the lugs at 6 o’clock is the stamping “S2F0772. The crystal should be replaced as it shows deep scratching. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling the crown out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the Technos signed, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement was running about 5.5 hours fast by the end of its approximate 42 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. The all stainless steel Technos band looks great. I imagine that it will comfortably accommodate up to a 7 inch wrist. While the movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 43 hour power reserve period and the hacking feature works perfectly as it should, the crown is a bit difficult to pull out and in my humble opinion winds tightly. It should be wound slowly and methodically. Given this and considering the movement’s unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. This vintage Glycine Airman, which dates to 1966, has a matte black “-T-SWISS-T-” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal. The lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm golden buttermilk hue. The stainless steel bezel, which looks great and rotates smoothly bidirectionally when unlocked, shows some enamel paint loss. To unlock the bezel the lower crown needs to be unscrewed. To lock the bezel the lower crown simply needs to be screwed back down. The all stainless steel case shows moderate wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC WATERPROOF INCABLOC SWISS” with PAT. 314050″ followed by “869426. Over time these stampings have worn down and appear faint. The crystal shows scratching and warping around the edges which can be clearly seen in pictures 8 and 9. In person the crystal presents nicely. While I normally show movement pictures I don’t have the appropriate tool to remove the case back on this one. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. The hacking feature works perfectly as it should by pulling out the crown and seeing the seconds hand being stopped by a small. 06 mm steel wire that pops up between the “2” and “4” of the 24. After winding the sharply threaded, correct cross-hatched crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 43 hours. Considering that this watch has likely never been serviced, a complete overhaul is suggested. This vintage Elgin M135 is in wonderful condition. The matte black dial is pristine, free of any scratches, tool marks or defects. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which is fully intact and emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a toasted French vanilla hue. The orange seconds hand has faded to a slightly lighter shade than the vibrant orange found on the bezel, creating a beautiful contrast and giving the dial a wonderful energy. The orange and black bezel looks great and rotates bidirectionally. The all stainless steel case is very clean, showing minor signs of use and still retaining its original brushed satin finish. It is free of any noticeable dents or dings. The case back is stamped “ELGIN” followed by “STAINLESS STEEL” while the inside of the case back is stamped “GRABER” followed by “SWITZERLAND” and 4156. The crystal has light scratching. Please note that there is some minor oxidation on the retaining ring (to the left and right above 1 o’clock), which can likely be removed with a wirebrush during service. Additionally, while the dial appears flawless, over time some dust/debris has gotten between the retaining ring and crystal, settling on the underbelly of the crystal and to a lesser degree the dial. This dust/debris can be easily and quickly removed by a watchmaker using some Rodico and or a dial brush. On the wrist the dial looks spectacular, with the dust/debris being visually imperceptible. The 25 jewels PUW 1463 patented automatic movement with quickset date is lovely and keeps accurate time. Please refer to the asterisked section at the top and bottom of this listing description for more details. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the watch had a very healthy power reserve of approximately 37 hours. The sharply threaded, non-dented crown winds buttery smooth. The quickset date function works by repeatedly moving the hour hand between hours 20 and 24 until arriving at the desired date. This watch measures approximately 36.5 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. This rarely seen vintage La Cloche Sub 200 two-register chronograph has a black “T SWISS MADE T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visibly noticeable scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Please note that there is some dust/debris on the underbelly of the crystal. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. What makes this dial special and unique, other than it being in mint condition, is that only its top half has tritium-applied markers. The acrylic bezel , which rotates bidirectionally with the appropriate amount of tension and shows moderate wear , looks great. The massive all stainless steel case is, in my humble opinion, the highlight of this watch. It is beautifully cut and in wonderful condition. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “SWISS MADE SUPER WATERPROOF GUARANTEED 20 ATU SHOCK PROOF” with “905102 S” stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped 3930 A. The crystal shows scratching with some dust/debris on its underbelly. The Landeron 248 manual wind movement is exceptionally clean, runs strong keeping accurate time and all chronograph functions work as they should. The top pusher starts the sweep seconds hand and the bottom pusher stops and resets the sweep seconds and minute counter (right subdial) back to precisely 0. The pushers have a wonderful catch and release feel with no signs of gumminess. After recently winding the sharply threaded screwdown crown 53 full revolutions (phenomenal for a manual wind) the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The crown unscrews and screws back in perfectly as it should and winds beautifully. This seldom seen vintage Silvana has an orange “T SWISS MADE T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a momentary glow before quickly dissipating, has aged to an orange hue. While under high magnification the lume on the hour hand appears to be a slight shade lighter than the patina on the minute hand and dial, in person this subtle difference is nearly visually imperceptible. The black bezel, which rotates smoothly bidirectionally, presents as near pristine with the lume pip complementing the patina on the dial and hands perfectly. The all stainless steel case, which appears to have retained its original brushed satin finish to the top of the mid-case and sharp chamfers, is in excellent condition showing minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “WATERPROOF 20 ATU SWISS MADE INCABLOC ANTIMAGNETIC STAINLESS STEEL” with “10824” stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped 2352196. The crystal looks great. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded, screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The crown winds beautifully. Given that this watch is more than 45 years old and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. Although the movement currently runs strong and keeps accurate time given its vintage nature and considering that it has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. This seldom seen vintage Hamilton day-date has a matte black “T SWISS MADE T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. This reference never came with a bezel. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL – WATERRESISTANT” with “825011 -3″ stamped in the center. The crystal should be replaced as it shows scratching, warping and chipping around the edges. While I normally show pictures of the movement of watches that I put up for sale the case back on this one is torqued too tight for me to remove. A skilled watchmaker will have no problems doing so. The automatic movement with quickset day and date function keeps accurate time and both the day and date wheels roll over as they should. The quickset date function works by pulling out the crown to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The quickset day function works in precisely the same manner except the crown is turned counterclockwise. After winding the Hamilton signed, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 48 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given the movement’s unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures 11 mm. Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time, given its unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. While the movement runs strong and keeps accurate time, the day and date wheels do not roll over. Given this and considering that the movement shows no visible signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This seldom seen vintage Elgin day-date diver watch has a silvery champagne satin “T Swiss Made T” signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition, showing light markings that are difficult to see and can only be seen from certain angles. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching golden buttermilk hue. The hands show signs of oxidation which in my humble opinion adds oodles of character and the vibrant orange seconds hand gives this watch a wonderful energy. The silver bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with a bit of tension , presents as pristine. The all stainless steel case, which appears to have retained its original brushed satin finish, is in excellent condition showing minor wear and no signs of oxidation. The crystal shows scratching. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss “ELGIN” stamped FHF 909 automatic movement is exceptionally clean, runs strong and keeps accurate time. However, neither the day nor date wheels roll over. After winding the original non-screwdown “E” stamped crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Given that the day and date wheels do not roll over and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. The black 19 mm genuine MOD. SWISSMADE” Tropic strap with signature “ACIER flared buckle is in fully pliable, NOS condition. Given that neither the day nor date wheels roll over and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended.
