The Faction Candide 2.0 is truly all-terrain. The 2019 version is the softest iteration of the Candide 2.0 for a super-smooth buttery ski that manages to retain a strong all-mountain portfolio. Each of the skis in the Candide Thovex range is constructed and shaped for a different use or terrain. The 2.0s 102mm waist builds on the freestyle performance of the narrower 1.0 but adds some all-mountain versatility without compromising its playful personality. An adaptable rocker-camber-rocker profile. Built with plenty of rocker in the nose and tail to retain floaty performance in deep powder and improve the on-piste playfulness of butters and presses. An underfoot camber profile provides excellent edge-grip through hard-pack and increases stability at high speed. The Candide Thovex 2.0 is slightly stiffer than middling to deliver a powerful intermediate to advanced level ski without being too unforgiving. Reactive yet laidback, with plenty of damping. A sandwiched layer of carbon fibre underfoot keeps the overall strength up and improves stability through crud. The hybrid wood core blend of harder beech and softer poplar, with a rubber dampening layer, provides a receptive and powerful ride that capably reduces chatter and absorbs heavy landings. A speed-machine for charging. The 2019 CT 2.0 boasts a die-cut base, with sintered 3000 P-Tex, to keep you charging hard at Candide-warp-speed, while the chip-resistant topsheet looks slick and can take a beating.
