The Kastle MX89 Skis is the ultimate bundle for carving enthusiasts. Kastle has been making some pretty sweet skis over the past few years, and the MX89 is on the high end of that list. This is a killer deal that you should not overlook because of the ski’s shape, profile, and construction. At 89 mm underfoot, the skis are on the wide side for a front-side carver, but that really just means that there’s some more material to deal with. After all, they’re carving skis, so weight isn’t really an issue. All you really want is a smooth, stable, and strong ski that will engage, carve, and complete turns. As such, the MX89 is truly a top performer. In terms of profile, the fully cambered MX89 is a throwback to skis of yesteryear. Nowadays, every ski seems to have some type of rocker, but not the Kastle MX 89. It’s a fully cambered ski that hooks up instantly and rockets you through the turns. Be prepared for some serious energy coming out of the turn and you’ll glean the best performance. If you’re caught off-balance, it may take you some time to catch back up. The flat tail grips tight and won’t let go until the turn is done. With a 17 meter turn radius, that’s about as far as you’ll get. These skis really like to be on edge and riding the radius to completion. Build-wise, the skis have the highest quality build around. They are stout and stable, and will not chatter thanks to the Hollowtech tip. Any skier who loves to rip GS turns all day will adore the Kastle MX89 Skis. Sidecut: 129/89/113 mm at 172 cm length. Turn Radius: 17 meters at 172 cm length. Ability Level: Expert skiers.
