If you’ve never tried the BOA, you will LOVE these boots as BOA is the answer to the problem of heel-lift. The seam on one boot was worn by. Chairlift habit of resting the sharp heelside edge of the snowboard across the toe of the boot, due to being “too cool” to use the chair’s footrest or retaining bar. The seam was worn but not displaced (the stitches had not yet pulled through the fabric). Added some tough Marine Goop adhesive to cover and reinforce. Sticky, UV-stable, and will last forever. I have the pre-Goop photograph to prove it. Check it out, the last photograph. In my humble opinion, applying a protective layer of Goop over this area on a brand new boot is smart anyway, to protect the stitching from the snowboard’s sharp edge. I leave it to you to scrape it.
