Vintage Omega Genève withMint Blue Dial, Patina, Divers All SS Case, Orig Bracelet
This vintage 1970’s Omega Genève Chronometer has a satin blue “- SWISS MADE -” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal. The original lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and no longer emits a glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm butterscotch hue. The heavy duty all stainless steel case is beautifully cut and in excellent condition, showing light wear, minor dings and no signs of oxidation. The inside of the case back is stamped “OMEGA WATCH Co” followed by FAB. SUISSE, SWISS MADE, ACIER, INOXYABLE, 198. 020″ and “MOVEMENT LICENSED BULOVA & PAT (ESA). The crystal, with the Omega logo etched in the center, shows light scratching and some dust/debris on its underbelly that is nearly visibly imperceptible in person. The 12 jewels unadjusted “Omega 1260″ stamped electronically controlled tuning fork movement with quickset day and date functions is clean, keeps accurate time and both the day and date wheels roll over as they should. After pulling out the crown to the first position, the quickset day function works by slowly turning the crown clockwise (date will also change) while the date can be set by slowly turning the crown counterclockwise (day will not change if the crown is turned slowly). The sharply threaded, original Omega signed non-screwdown crown pulls out and sets the date and time without issue. Although this watch runs strong and keeps perfect time, considering the movement’s unknown service history (there is one visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back) and because it is unknown when the battery was last replaced, a complete overhaul is recommended to keep it running strong. This watch measures approximately 40 mm excluding the crown, approximately 42 mm including the crown and and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. This watch comes on its original bracelet that is in beautiful condition with nearly no stretch. The inside of the clasp is stamped “32, “”STAINLESS STEEL, “”1196/210″ and “OMEGA” with the Omega emblem stamped on the outside of the buckle. The buckle snaps tightly shut as it should. There are no spare links. This band is a bit loose on my approximate 6.5 inch wrist while currently set on the third loosest buckle adjustment. It should comfortably accommodate a 7 inch wrist and possibly larger. Although this watch currently runs strong and keeps perfect time, given that it is more than 40 years old and considering the movement’s unknown service history shows and when the battery was last replaced, a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. And please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch. DON’T MISS THIS ONE -ALL ORIGINAL/2 BANDS AND MINT CONDITION. THE WATCH IS IN ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION. IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN OCT. Original , all stainless steel case is in super condition with no dings or dents. Size is 42MM without crown, lug to lug 44MM. Original Crystal in great shape. Dial – Excellent condition black, with no stain or fade. Hands and markers are excellent as well. There is still lume on the hands and markers. AUTOMATIC SEIKO JAPAN MOVEMENT CALIBER 7002. Bezel, with silver numerals, rotates bi-directional smoothly.. Crown an original screw in locking water- resistant type. Many of the 7002 series divers come with a Z22 rubber band or the more expensive stainless steel. Double locking deployment style band. Generic & solid high quality stainless steel deployment band and the original Seiko Z22 rubber divers band. The steel band comes with quick release pins , so you can switch bands easily. Service history is unknown but in wearing the watch over a 24 hour period, it has been keeping excellent time. It has been not water tested. It may be water-resistant, but it is recommended if you are going to use this for diving or swimming, that it should be professionally re-pressurized. It is a terrific value for a classic automatic diving watch. It will continue for years to come, to be an accurate and handsome, functional timepiece. BECAUSE IT IS A VINTAGE AUTOMATIC WATCH, THERE IS GOING TO BE DIMINISHED RESERVE POWER(HOW LONG IT RUNS WHEN IT IS TAKEN OFF THE WRIST) THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH MOSTLY ALL VINTAGE AUTOMATICS.. MANY NEW ONES CAN GET UP TO 40HRS RUNNING OFF THE WRIST. DO NOT EXPECT MORE THEN 10-16 HRS RUNNING WHEN OFF. Please remember these are NOT new automatic watches even though they may have been serviced, you will have to gently shake the watch in a clockwise or counter clockwise movement to get the rotor working properly. This is especially true when the watch has not been worn for some time. Reserve power has to build up to keep the watch running when not worn.. Its value will only increase, as these classic and iconic timepieces disappear form the marketplace. This model in particular, is even more valuable and collectible. Bit of it’s model history:The Seiko 7002 series of diving watches is the fourth generation of Seikos (normally aspired) professional/recreational ISO-rated automatic diving watches (this does not include Seikos deep diving shrouded divers or Seikos intro level ISO-rated quartz divers). The 7002 line of divers replaced the 6309 in 1988 and ran until 1996. It was replaced by the SKX line of divers in 1996. The 7002s use an entirely different movement from prior 6000 series based models used in earlier divers. The 7002s introduced many design changes to Seiko divers that are with us to this day. Now seen as true specialists in the diving watch market, Seiko have made a name for themselves in the sports market, with the classic 7002 the piece of choice for many. With its sturdy and robust makeup, luminous design style and functional bezel, the 7002 maintains its dominance nearly 30 years after its first release. Most coming from overseas. Beware, as many are junk and have parts pieced together from many different watches. Not easy to return these junk timepieces. At least I know where my watches come from and what’s inside them. Overview and additional specs. It uses a 7002 caliber self-winding mechanical movement that cannot be manually wound or hacked (the second hand does not stop when the crown is pulled out). It ticks 6 times per second which gives the second hand a smoother movement than quartz watches which tick once per second. The watch should run for up to 40 hours when fully wound and will self-wind when moved. There are two model numbers for this watch which indicate different distribution locations, a different band type, or different text on the dial. They are identical in specs. This should be sufficient for splashes, rain, baths, showers & swimming (shallow diving) but is not recommended for scuba diving. The crown screws down to help prevent it from being accidentally pulled out while under water. The stainless steel bezel shows minute numbering and can be rotated. The gap between the lugs is 22mm and the rubber band can be removed using a band removal tool. To be replaced with another band. Date window to show the day of the month. Check your watch manual for details. (baths & shallow diving). Inner Bezel / Chapter Ring / Outer Dial. I always try to deal with my customers professionally, and ask that they extend me the same courtesy. Thank you, Roger — ber11566. The item “RARE 1996 SEIKO DIVER 7002-7000 WithBLK DIAL ALL ORIG. OF THOSE TWO ONE IS FOR REPAIR AND THE OTHER HAS BEEN FOOLED WITH DOESN’T HAVE THE CORRECT BACK PLATE.. MOST ARE JUNK WITH PARTS FROM OTHER WATCHES OR HAVE RE-PAINTED DIALS. Beware of repainted Seiko Dials not in the description/Most from India. Word to the wise, Caveat. ATTENTION COLLECTORS OR SEIKOHOLICS. THIS IS A 17 JEWEL AUTOMATIC IN ALL ORIGINAL MINT CONDITION. NO AFTERMARKET PARTS OR RE-TOUCHING. DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN ONE OF SEIKO’S MOST ICONIC AND COLLECTIBLE WATCHES. THE WATCH FEATURES A BLACK DIAL WITH WHITE INDICES. AN A YELLOW CHRONO HAND AS WELL AS SUB-DIAL MINUTE COUNTER. THESE IS STILL SOME LUME. THE INNER CHRONO DIAL IS A LIGHT BLUE TO GIVE THE WATCH A HANDSOME CONTRAST. THERE IS A WHITE INNER SECONDS TRACK, WHICH REALLY MAKES THE DIAL STAND OUT. THE DIAL IS THE UNTOUCHED ORIGINAL IN VERY RARE MINT CONDITION WITH NO REAL SIGNS OF AGE. THERE IS A DAY-DATE DISPLAY AT 3 O’CLOCK THAT IS SET USING QUICKSET VIA THE STAINLESS STEEL CROWN. THE DAY DISPLAY IS IN ENGLISH AND IN KANJI. THE HANDS ARE THE ORIGINAL WHITE STICK HANDS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL GLASS CRYSTAL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE ORIGINAL STAINLESS STEEL CASE IS UNTOUCHED AND IS IN INCREDIBLE CONDITION. THE STAINLESS STEEL BACK PLATE IS IN SUPER CONDITION WITH NO TOOL MARKS OR SCRATCHES. ALL MARKINGS ARE CLEAR AND COMPLETE. THE ORIGINAL SEIKO STAINLESS STEEL BRACELET WAS NOT USABLE AS SOME LINKS WERE BROKEN AND STRETCHED IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND WILL FIT UP TO A 8 WRIST , AS IT’S NEW AND NEVER BEEN SIZED. THIS WATCH WAS SERVICED 6 WEEKS AGO, AND IS RUNNING VERY WELL. IT IS A MEN’S SIZED WATCH AT 40 MM ACROSS, NOT INCLUDING THE CROWN OR PUSHERS, x 42 MM LUG TO LUG. MANUFACTURED IN APRIL 1973. THANKS TO MY FRIEND GLENN FOR THE EXCELLENT DESCRIPTION. BECAUSE IT IS A VINTAGE AUTOMATIC WATCH, THERE IS GOING TO BE DIMINISHED RESERVE POWER(HOW LONG IT RUNS WHEN IT IS TAKEN OFF THE WRIST). THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH MOSTLY ALL VINTAGE AUTOMATICS.. MANY NEW ONES CAN GET UP TO 40HRS RUNNING OFF THE WRIST. DO NOT EXPECT MORE THEN 8-12 HRS RUNNING WHEN OFF. Please remember these are NOT new automatic watches even though they were serviced, you will have to gently shake the watch in a clockwise or counter clockwise movement to get the rotor working properly. This is especially true when the watch has not been worn for some time. Reserve power has to build up for sometime to keep the watch running when not worn.. JUST A PERSONAL NOTE ABOUT THIS WATCH. DURING THIS TIME I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT I CANNOT MAKE EVERYBODY HAPPY lol.. NOT RE-LUMED AND UN-TOUCHED OTHER THEN SERVICE. This watch was recently timed and serviced. The stainless and brushed satin case has been left un-polished. It shows original condition as excellent. All wording on case back is. With almost no wear. Quite rare considering the watche’s age. As collectors and people that value vintage watches know, the value of the watch is much higher left un- polished. It is a terrific value for a classic timepiece. It will continue for years to come, to be an accurate and handsome, functional classic watch. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS SEIKO IS THE REAL THING. JUST A WORD TO THE WISE.. Vintage Clebar Chronograph withMint Dial, Divers All SS Case, Tropic Strap, Orig Box
This vintage Clebar two-register chronograph is an example of a watch that, in my humble opinion, looks much better in person than in pictures. It has a silvery champagne “T SWISS MADE T” signed satin dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visible scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a perfectly matching warm golden buttermilk hue. The black bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with the appropriate amount of tension, looks great with the golden buttermilk colored lume pip complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case, which appears to have retained its original brushed satin finish to the tops and sides and sharp polished chamfers, is in excellent condition showing minor wear and oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “WATERPROOF INCABLOC ALL STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE” with “20 ATM” followed by “TESTED” stamped in the center. The crystal shows scratching which I don’t think looks nearly as pronounced in person as it does in the high magnification pictures. While I normally show pictures of the movements of watches that I put up for sale, the case back on this one is torqued to what feels like factory specs and is too tight for me to remove. A skilled watchmaker will have no problem removing it. Based on several identical examples that I’ve owned in the past the movement is likely a 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss Landeron 248 manual wind. It runs strong, keeps accurate time and all chronograph functions work as they should. The top pusher starts the sweep seconds hand and the bottom pusher stops it. With another push the bottom pusher resets the sweep seconds and minute counter (right subdial) back to precisely 0. The pushers have a nice catch and release feel with no signs of gumminess. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown crown 37 full revolutions (impressive for a manual wind) the movement had a solid power reserve of approximately 40 hours. Given that this watch is more than 50 years old and considering that the movement has likely never been serviced (given how tight the case back is torqued it may have never been previously removed) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 11 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 13.5 mm. This watch comes on an original and genuine 19 mm one keeper Tropic strap with signature “ACIER” flared buckle that is in wonderful, fully pliable condition. Additionally the original Clebar box is included which is in excellent overall condition with no damage to the hinges. Although the movement runs strong, keeps accurate time and all chronograph functions work as they should, given the vintage nature of this watch and considering that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. And please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully, which were taken in natural light and from various angles, as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch. Thanks to my friend Glenn for his EXPERTISE on these vintage timepieces. Seiko introduced a lot of different “Sport Diver” lines, so-called because of their use of the term “Sports” on the dial. These generally were not true divers, but rated at 70M and sharing some features of a true diver, such as this watch The 7019 is a particularly hard-to-find, I dare say “rare” line of these watches(especia;y a 6010), when compared to the much more common 6106/6119 lines and the also rare, but still more common 5126 w. Clusively “JDM, ” or “Japanese Domestic Model” line, reflected by the day wheel’s languages of English and Kanji, also regarded as a big perk by collectors. THIS A VERY RARE VINTAGE SEIKO MEN’S 70 METER SPORT DIVER, ONE OF THE UNIQUE 21 JEWEL MODELS, IN AN ORIGINAL UN-MOLESTED COLLECTORS CONDITION, A HARD TO FIND WATCH. Most coming from overseas. Beware, as many are junk and have parts pieced together from many different watches. Not easy to return these Junk timepieces. At least I know where my watches come from and what’s inside them. IF ITEM IS NOT AS DESCRIBED OR DAMAGED. I always try to deal with my customers professionally, and ask that they extend me the same courtesy.
