This ski is in fair condition, has wear from normal use, scratches, a few small chips and multiple minor chips to the topsheet, with some repaired scratches to the bases. In recent years Armada entered the lightweight touring game for the first time, with the goal to redefine skiability in this segment. The Tracer 88 has gotten a full overhaul, pushing it’s limits even further. With a 88mm waist width, the Tracer sits in the All mountain section of width but leaning towards piste and graded terrain with enough width to play off to the sides and explore powder when there’s a fresh fall. AR75 sidewalls give excellent edge hold and power transmission, so wherever you find yourself the Tracer 88 will give supreme hold on ice and hard snow. The Caruba core consists of lightweight wood running the length of the ski whilst a harder laminate is present underfoot, giving premium levels of agility and maneuverability without sacrificing on security or dampness. I rode these skis about 10 days total and they’ve fallen out of my rotation. The skis were mounted for a BSL of 306mm, Mondo 26.5, in the factory recommended position. Bindings are Salomon Warden MNC 13, there is some wax residue that got under the clear plastic that shows the DIN scale but it’s only cosmetic, the scale is still fully readable. These skis are in good used condition, probably 8 out of 10. There is a few scratches to the topsheet and the bases but nothing excessive. One of the skis took some 1/2 length of rock damage to an edge that I had professionally repaired (straightened the edge, epoxied the base) and should not affect performance.
