This vintage 1974 Caravelle has a matte black dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visibly noticeable scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow on the hands only after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a golden buttermilk hue. The vibrant orange seconds hand complements the dial and patina beautifully. The bezel, which rotates a bit stiffly bidirectionally, is in excellent condition as is the jet black insert. The heavy duty all stainless steel case shows minor wear with the exception of a ding on the chamfer above the bottom right lug. The case shows no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “CARAVELLE SHOCK RESISTANT WATER-RESISTANT TO 666 FEET STAINLESS STEEL ANTI MAGNETIC” with “N 4″ stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped “3286-DP” followed by “CARAVELLE DIV, “B. The crystal shows scratching and some dust/debris on its underbelly. The 17 jewels unadjusted Japan “II DP” and “N 4″ stamped manual wind movement is clean, runs strong and keeps accurate time. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown “C” signed crown 45 full revolutions (phenomenal for a manual wind) the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. Given that this watch is 45 years old and the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm. Given the vintage nature of this watch and considering that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended. This seldom seen Baume & Mercier has a matte black “T-SWISS MADE-T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Please note that there is some dust/debris on the underbelly of the crystal and to a lesser degree the dial. The tritium, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow on the dial only after being exposed to bright light, has aged nicely. The black bezel, which rotates very stiffly, presents beautifully. The all stainless steel case is in excellent condition showing minor wear and very light signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC SWISS MADE SKIN DIVER 12 ATMOSPHERES WATERPROOF INCABLOC” with some difficult to read number stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped “MODELE” followed by MLB. The crystal shows light crazing and scratching as well as some dust/debris on its underbelly. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then repeatedly moving the hour hand between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 43 hours. The crown winds smoothly. Given that this watch is more than 45 years old and considering that the movement appears to have been last serviced in 1986 (the lone etching “3-29-86 ABE” on the inside of the case back is likely a watchmaker service marking) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 37.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm. Given the vintage nature of this watch and considering that the movement appears to have been last serviced more than 33 years ago a complete overhaul is recommended. The inside of the case back is stamped “TECHNOS” followed by “STAINLESS STEEL” and 2632. ” Between the lugs at 6 o’clock is the stamping “S2F0772. The crystal should be replaced as it shows deep scratching. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling the crown out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. Considering that this watch has likely never been serviced, a complete overhaul is suggested. This vintage Elgin M135 is in wonderful condition. The matte black dial is pristine, free of any scratches, tool marks or defects. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which is fully intact and emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a toasted French vanilla hue. The orange seconds hand has faded to a slightly lighter shade than the vibrant orange found on the bezel, creating a beautiful contrast and giving the dial a wonderful energy. The orange and black bezel looks great and rotates bidirectionally. The all stainless steel case is very clean, showing minor signs of use and still retaining its original brushed satin finish. It is free of any noticeable dents or dings. The case back is stamped “ELGIN” followed by “STAINLESS STEEL” while the inside of the case back is stamped “GRABER” followed by “SWITZERLAND” and 4156. The crystal has light scratching. Please note that there is some minor oxidation on the retaining ring (to the left and right above 1 o’clock), which can likely be removed with a wirebrush during service. Additionally, while the dial appears flawless, over time some dust/debris has gotten between the retaining ring and crystal, settling on the underbelly of the crystal and to a lesser degree the dial. This dust/debris can be easily and quickly removed by a watchmaker using some Rodico and or a dial brush. On the wrist the dial looks spectacular, with the dust/debris being visually imperceptible. The 25 jewels PUW 1463 patented automatic movement with quickset date is lovely and keeps accurate time. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the watch had a very healthy power reserve of approximately 37 hours. The sharply threaded, non-dented crown winds buttery smooth. While the movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 43 hour power reserve period and the hacking feature works perfectly as it should, the crown is a bit difficult to pull out and in my humble opinion winds tightly. It should be wound slowly and methodically. Given this and considering the movement’s unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. This vintage Glycine Airman, which dates to 1966, has a matte black “-T-SWISS-T-” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal. The lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm golden buttermilk hue. The stainless steel bezel, which looks great and rotates smoothly bidirectionally when unlocked, shows some enamel paint loss. To unlock the bezel the lower crown needs to be unscrewed. To lock the bezel the lower crown simply needs to be screwed back down. The all stainless steel case shows moderate wear with no signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC WATERPROOF INCABLOC SWISS” with PAT. 314050″ followed by “869426. Over time these stampings have worn down and appear faint. The crystal shows scratching and warping around the edges which can be clearly seen in pictures 8 and 9. In person the crystal presents nicely. While I normally show movement pictures I don’t have the appropriate tool to remove the case back on this one. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. This seldom seen vintage Waltham day-date has a matte gray “T SWISS T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visibly noticeable scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. The original lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching buttermilk hue. This black bezel, which does not rotate likely due to gunk buildup underneath , looks great. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear and oxidation. The outside of the case back is stamped ALL STAINLESS STEEL CASE – SWISS WALTHAM. ” The inside of the case back is stamped “WALTHAM WATCH” followed by “COMPANY SWISS” and “B – 341. The crystal should be replaced as it shows scratching and frosting. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss “WALTHAM WATCH Co” stamped manual wind movement with quickset date function runs strong and keeps accurate time with both the day and date wheels rolling over as they should. The quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the Waltham signed non-screwdown crown 35 full revolutions the movement had an impressive 41 hour power reserve period. The crown winds beautifully. Given the movement’s unknown service history (while there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back there is some scratching on the movement) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures 11 mm. Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time, given its unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage Elgin M135 Day-Date Diver withMint Dial, Warm Patina, All SS Case, PUW 1463

Considering that this watch has likely never been serviced, a complete overhaul is suggested. This vintage Elgin M135 is in wonderful condition. The matte black dial is pristine, free of any scratches, tool marks or defects. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which is fully intact and emits a faint, short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a toasted French vanilla hue. The orange seconds hand has faded to a slightly lighter shade than the vibrant orange found on the bezel, creating a beautiful contrast and giving the dial a wonderful energy. The orange and black bezel looks great and rotates bidirectionally. The all stainless steel case is very clean, showing minor signs of use and still retaining its original brushed satin finish. It is free of any noticeable dents or dings. The case back is stamped “ELGIN” followed by “STAINLESS STEEL” while the inside of the case back is stamped “GRABER” followed by “SWITZERLAND” and 4156. The crystal has light scratching. Please note that there is some minor oxidation on the retaining ring (to the left and right above 1 o’clock), which can likely be removed with a wirebrush during service. Additionally, while the dial appears flawless, over time some dust/debris has gotten between the retaining ring and crystal, settling on the underbelly of the crystal and to a lesser degree the dial. This dust/debris can be easily and quickly removed by a watchmaker using some Rodico and or a dial brush. On the wrist the dial looks spectacular, with the dust/debris being visually imperceptible. The 25 jewels PUW 1463 patented automatic movement with quickset date is lovely and keeps accurate time. Please refer to the asterisked section at the top and bottom of this listing description for more details. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the watch had a very healthy power reserve of approximately 37 hours. The sharply threaded, non-dented crown winds buttery smooth. The quickset date function works by repeatedly moving the hour hand between hours 20 and 24 until arriving at the desired date. This watch measures approximately 36.5 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Vintage La Cloche Sub 200 Chronograph withMint Dial, Patina, Divers All SS Case

This rarely seen vintage La Cloche Sub 200 two-register chronograph has a black “T SWISS MADE T” signed dial that is in pristine condition, free of any visibly noticeable scratching, tool marks, chipping or defects. Please note that there is some dust/debris on the underbelly of the crystal. The original tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. What makes this dial special and unique, other than it being in mint condition, is that only its top half has tritium-applied markers. The acrylic bezel , which rotates bidirectionally with the appropriate amount of tension and shows moderate wear , looks great. The massive all stainless steel case is, in my humble opinion, the highlight of this watch. It is beautifully cut and in wonderful condition. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “SWISS MADE SUPER WATERPROOF GUARANTEED 20 ATU SHOCK PROOF” with “905102 S” stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped 3930 A. The crystal shows scratching with some dust/debris on its underbelly. The Landeron 248 manual wind movement is exceptionally clean, runs strong keeping accurate time and all chronograph functions work as they should. The top pusher starts the sweep seconds hand and the bottom pusher stops and resets the sweep seconds and minute counter (right subdial) back to precisely 0. The pushers have a wonderful catch and release feel with no signs of gumminess. After recently winding the sharply threaded screwdown crown 53 full revolutions (phenomenal for a manual wind) the movement had an impressive power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The crown unscrews and screws back in perfectly as it should and winds beautifully. Given that this watch is approximately 45 years old and considering that the movement shows no signs of ever having been serviced (there are no visible watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back or on the movement), a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 40 mm excluding the crown, approximately 45 mm including the crown and approximately 22 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. Although the movement runs strong keeping accurate time and works perfectly as it should, considering that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is recommended.
